Knowledge gives your child power, and thus, it is the goal of the Freire Charter School to offer your child an array of challenging courses to maximize his or her powerful potential. Because we are a college preparatory school based in the liberal arts and sciences, Freire requires the successful completion of many, very specific classes from your child. Students follow the course of study listed below because these classes represent the path of study that colleges and universities look for in their admissions process. |

Electives include Biology II, Advanced Biology II, Environmental Science, Physics, Chemistry, History of Now, Sociology, Psychology, Business & Personal Finance, Advanced Math Topics, Statistics, Information Technology, Research Writing, Creative Writing, American Law, and Spanish IV. Outside of Freire, advanced Juniors and Seniors may also take classes for both college credit and high school credit at local colleges and universities such as the Community College of Philadelphia, Drexel, Cheyney, Saint Joseph’s, Eastern, and Penn. |
