Athletics

Seeking to nurture the whole child, the Freire Charter School offers a variety of athletic programs, comparable to any small  high school in the city.  In addition, Freire is a proud member of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA).  We expect our student-athletes to uphold the highest levels of sportsmanship on the playing field as well as to maintain the highest standards of scholarship in the classroom.

 

Freire currently offers the following sports to its student body on various levels of competition (e.g. Varsity, Junior Varsity):
